Case Description
I know that there is a great chance that no one will respond to this -- But, I'm looking for help. I think the last time that I went to the dentist was sometime around the age 13 or so. Horrible I know. I should be able to remember these things. Truth is I was always afraid of the dentist and then my family didn't have insurance or the find to attend. My issues have just grown over time and I'm now to a point where I am ashamed and in pain. I still do not have insurance because the cost is too great with my husbands company. I'm looking for somewhere that will possibly allow payment plans but still do the work that is needed without the wait. I have 4 broken teeth that are either mostly gone or have a hole in them. I'm pretty sure that two of them previously had fillings. Other than that I know that I have cavities. It is not a pretty sight. When I look in the mirror or smile in photos you can see two of the teeth that are broken. They are not in the front but they are on the sides very near to the front. I need help! I was told that there are several options from veneers to implants. Can you get veneers if your teeth are decayed? I don't know where to go next and don't want to be ripped off either. I can make payments of about 200 - 250 a month and will sign a contract if I need to or whatever... I just dont want to live like this anymore. I cannot eat like a normal person. I don't want to smile, often talk or anything b/c I am afraid of others seeing my mouth and how I have neglected my health. My teeth are also causing severe headaches. time is of the essence. one other thing that I am not sure if it is relevant... my grandmother and mother both had dentures by their mid to late 20's and my brother also has very poor teeth.
Sincerely, 26 and hopeful

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

You really need to come in and have a full comprehensive exam done to determine what action of treatment is best for you. My office does provide in house financing plus CareCredit, Capital One and Chase Healthcare financing to assist patients in paying for their dental treatment. Not much can be said until an exam and xrays are done.

Thank you for writing your concerns down. I understand it can be difficult trying to explain everything that you think might need fixing. Our office is located in the Spring area and we often see patients who have several teeth that are either broken, missing, or in pain. At our office we do offer flexible payments that I believe would work just right with your budget. If you would like we can schedule a FREE exam and xray to take a look and tell you what the best options would be. Our office phone number is 281 376 4533, or you can email again if that is more convenient for you.

Everyone is deserved to be helped. Afterall, we should never judge anyone. To be honest, your dental treatment may not cost as much as you think. I have done full mouth reconstruction for the last 12 years and as long as you have teeth, they can be saved. We approached your case with a stair step treatment, i.e., after determining the treatment plan, we will make sure that no other teeth will fail while we add new teeth. Strict recall with brace treatment is an optimal choice, as doing so will reallign and protect the remaining teeth, plus we can see you once a month to assure the integrity of the remaining teeth. Implant can be added slowly, since it cost the most. Crown can be done with good temporaries that would last 1-2 years. According to research, there is very little genetic implication to bad teeth, thus your familial history has nothing to do with your oral state of health. I believed that you never was explained with facts and supports. Please make appointment at 713-263-8080 (St. Nicholas Dentist) or 281-579-6066 (Cosmetic Dentist of Katy) and we will help you. Our price is very reasonable and our works are warranted. God bless you.
