Case Description
I am 62 y old woman, lost partial teeth for 20 y, wear denture for 10 y. The 1st set denture was okay not so much chewing power but no cause me jaw, joint...problems at all. One y ago I made the 2nd sets of denture it started fine with chewing power, no jaw pain, super, but after one year in January 2009 suddently I got sever head ache, neck ache, jaw joint ache, my lower jaw fallen, I can not even talk, it just get worse day after day, special after eating hard stuffs. Am I having denture problem or deterorate gum/joint problem? Need professional advice. Is there a solution? - implant? can last how long 10 more y or less for such big $$ if it worth? (If I can afford I should get it 10y or even 20y ago, right?) Please reply to my personal e-mail also - iknewit1@juno.com I will appreciate so so much,

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Thank you for your email. If you have been without teeth for a long time I think that you will be pleased with what implants can do for your overall health and well being. They are more expensive than partial dentures or full dentures, but they will last a long time and give you more ability to function or chew. If we can be of further assistance, please give our office a call. Thank you!

This is one of those case I would love to help. Before I can confirm the diagnosis, I would take a CT scan at my office (we only charge 100.00 for three times taken) to rule out the nerve pathology. I suspect that the second denture was made of economy teeth and the occlusion was not correct. As the result, the teeth worn out within a year, you loss the vertical dimension (the height of support of your jaw), then the muscular dysfunction sets in and TMJ problem occur. At our office, we do not charge you if we cannot help you. THat is our guarantee. Also, if I place the implant, the implant is guarantee for lifetime. I have done implant over 12 years, and my failure rate is less the .006%. And that is over 3000 cases of implants. Most importantly, before patient cares about how much we know, he or she mus know how much we care about the patient. All I want is that all my patient gets well and keep their teeth for lifetime.
