Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

With the new product of take home tray bleaching called Opalescence PFM, you only have to wear the tray 45 minutes and thus the In Office bleaching procedure is no longer a method of choice for bleaching. Researches from many universities have shown that there is no difference in result regarding home bleaching vs. in office bleaching. In fact, in office bleaching cause more sensitivity, gingival injury, and pulpal damage than the take home. In fact, the light shade you achieve through bleaching are best maintain by tray bleaching once a month. That is why a good office always gives you a take home tray product along with the in office bleaching procedure. Many offices referred to this practice as "touch up" tray. Teeth changes color as we eats chromatic food such as tomato sauce (pasta and pizza), coffee, tea, red wine, etc...You can see that every one gonna have tomato sauce (ketchup, salsa, even tobasco sauce or steak sauce). Thus take home tray is cheaper and is the best bleaching treatment since the PFM product from Opalescence only required you to wear it 30 to 45 minutes a day. More over, we can use the same tray and apply neutral sodium flouride to treat sensitivity and decay prevention. Finally, Opalescence is the GOLD standard of bleaching. It is the longest established company and most expensive product. Everything else, in my opinion, is junked compared to Opalescence. It is sad many practitioner advocate in office bleaching just because it makes money.
