When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Cost Estimate: $$10,000 and up
Dear Full Mouth Makeover,

Sorry to hear your husband is having so many problems. As I am sure you are aware a full mouth makeover is an expensive undertaking. I would say that probably the minimum cost would be in the neighborhood of about $10,000 on up. If money is a big problem I suggest that you contact the University of Texas Dental School at 713-500-4000. I also think it is very important that he get these teeth fixed asap because infections can spread and create a lot of other health issues.

Good luck

sincerely,

dr. spiker davis

Cost Estimate: $1000 each plate
If decay is the problem, the best treatment for your husband would be full denture and then possibly implant retention down the road. Without any xray, please do not extract any teeth until we can look at them. Many times, you can just do ortho and keep them for life. Ortho treatment allow you to split the payment into payment plan and still maintain your original teeth. Denture 1000 each plate.

It sounds like your husband needs a full eval from me, a periodontist, working in conjunction with a prosthodontist. I am board certified and so is the prosthodontist with whom we will work. Together, you, your husband, the prosthodontist and I can come up with options to help him. The reason you need a periodontist is to make sure that the remaining teeth are stable and can hold up to the proposed pros treatment. Also, some teeth may need crown lenghtening or gum sculpting to make things look right.

But money will be an issue. There are many companies like Chase financial, and Care Credit with whom y''''all can work to get a loan, if needed. To be honest, this will be a big investment of time, as well as money, if we want to do things right.

A full eval with me will only be 110, plus Xrays, as needed. One panorex may be enough to do the initial diagnosis.

Please feel free to email me or call me.
